Leírás
Az alsó-ausztriai Traisental-völgyek központi magaslataként a Traisenberg impozáns, 1230 méter magasan emelkedik a levegőbe. Nagyvonalú hegyvonulata több mint 30 négyzetkilométeren terül el. Összesen öt csúcs emelkedik ki belőle. Elszigetelt erdei utak és ösvények vezetnek át a főként erdős hegyvonulaton.
Az 1082 méteren fekvő Traisenberg Turistaházak pihenésre invitál: változatos virágokkal, játszótérrel és közel 40 szálláshellyel.
Pauli, a tűzszalamandra végigkíséri a gyerekeket és a túrázókat. Több táblán izgalmas történeteket mesél az életről, a növény- és állatvilágról, valamint a hegyen való helyes viselkedésről.

Utak leírása Über den Wancurasteig zur Zdarskyhütte
Start from St. Aegyd heading north to Osterkogel, then always follow the marker through switchbacks in the forest. After about 1 hour, you reach the alpine pasture (with cows in summer) and the path continues across the alpine meadow to the Zdarsky hut.
Érkezés
from the west, north and western Vienna:
On the A1 to St. Pölten, then on the B 20 to Freiland, turn left there and 20 km further on the B214.
from the east and southern Vienna:
On the A23 to the Mayerling exit, then towards Hainfeld, over the Hafnerberg on the B18 to Traisen, then towards Mariazell to Freiland, turn left there and 20 km further on the B214.
from the south:
Either to Mariazell and then 30 km on the B21 to St. Aegyd, or on the A2 to Wöllersdorf and another 61 km on the B21 to St. Aegyd.
