Welcome to Prinzersdorf!

Prinzersdorf is a market town with 1612 inhabitants and an area of 4.06 km². The municipality is located on the federal highway 1 and on the Westbahn, only 8 km from the state capital of St. Pölten in the Pielach valley on the southern edge of the Dunkelsteinerwald. Twin town is the Hungarian town of Letenye. The municipality consists of the cadastral districts of Prinzersdorf and Uttendorf, the market survey took place in 1969.

From Prinzersdorf you can take beautiful walks along the Pielach, and cycle paths also lead through Prinzersdorf. The Pielach beach is popular in summer for relaxing hours. Excursion destinations in the vicinity are the Schallaburg, Melk Abbey, the Wachau, the ruins of Aggstein or the state capital, as well as the Dunkelsteinerwald hiking areas and the foothills of the Alps. Prinzersdorf has an excellent infrastructure: Grocery store, bank, post partner, pharmacy, doctor, dentist, kindergarten, football, volleyball and tennis courts, 4 restaurants and 2 accommodation establishments and much more.
