Whether you’re taking it easy on an e-bike, pushing yourself on a mountain bike or riding at a brisk pace on a road bike – the region offers suitable routes to suit all abilities. Over 30 mountain bike trails wind their way through the alpine landscapes of the Ybbstal Alps. A particular highlight is the Ybbstal Cycle Route, the centrepiece of which runs along the former railway line from Waidhofen an der Ybbs to Lunz am See.
Cycling map leaflets provide concise information on the various routes. In addition, the ‘Radtramperbus’ and ‘Radtaxi’services ensure flexible transport options in the region and make it easier to plan cycling tours.
