The Radtramper bus and the Ybbstal cycle taxi provide flexible transport options along the Ybbstal Cycle Route. On selected days, the Radtramper bus connects Waidhofen an der Ybbs and Lunz am See, offering a convenient way to get there, return home or take a shortcut on your cycle tour. For groups, the Ybbstal Cycle Taxi is also available during the summer months, providing comfortable transport for passengers and their bikes.
Change to the bus stop in Waidhofen / Ybbs from 19 August 2026
Due to roadworks in the area of the junction leading into Patertal, Radtrampers’ regular bus services will not be able to stop directly at the ‘Waidhofen/Ybbs Bahnhof’, as the buses are unable to turn round in the station area. Instead, the ‘Waidhofen/Ybbs Abzw. Bahnhof’ stop will be served. Access to the cycle car park at the station will remain possible via Südtirolerplatz.
The Radtramper bus is a handy addition for cycle tours along the Ybbstal Cycle Route. It runs along the heart of the route between Waidhofen an der Ybbs and Lunz am See, offering a convenient way to get there, return home or plan your tour flexibly.
From 1 May to 26 October 2026, the Radtramper bus will run every Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays.
During the Lower Austrian summer holidays from 4 July to 6 September 2026, the route will be served daily.
On operating days, the bus runs three times a day.

Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus, online at shop.vor.at or via the VOR app. Tickets are also available at ÖBB ticket offices and ticket machines.
Bicycle tickets are also available on the bus or online.

For small groups of four or more people, the flexible Ybbstal Cycle Taxi is a practical addition to the cycling options in the Ybbstal valley. It allows you to continue your journey or make your return journey hassle-free on four wheels – ideal if you want to shorten a stage or need a flexible connection.
The Ybbstal Cycle Taxi is available during the summer months from May to October, Monday to Sunday between 8 am and 6 pm. Bookings can be made by telephone directly with one of the partner taxi companies.
The cycle taxi will reach cyclists within 2 hours of booking.
The Ybbstal Cycle Taxi can carry up to 16 bicycles.
A minimum of 4 people is required per journey. The charge for this is €100.00.
Each additional person costs €25.00 per person, including their bicycle.
