The Ybbstal Blossom
From mid-May to early June, a truly spectacular display of flowers can be admired across ten show meadows in the Ybbstal Alps.
The four Ybbstal municipalities – Hollenstein an der Ybbs, Göstling an der Ybbs, Lunz am See and Opponitz – are supporting the conservation of these regional and species-rich natural treasures as part of the ‘Daffodil and Orchid Meadows in the Ybbstal’ project.
To this end, the municipalities have developed awareness-raising initiatives in collaboration with the LEADER region Eisenstraße Lower Austria and the Mostviertel Protected Areas Management, ranging from information boards and teaching materials to hands-on projects.
